Our journey at Noir Coeur begins in the enchanting city of Bordeaux, where our founder, Jean-Michel Plantini, fell deeply in love with a remarkable woman in 1988. Their shared passion for art flourished, culminating in their marriage in 1991. However, in 1999, heartbreak struck when Jean discovered her infidelity, shattering his world and leaving his heart in a thousand pieces. In his anguish, he tore apart his beloved artworks, feeling he could no longer create.

Amidst this turmoil, he crafted one final piece: "Black Heart," or "Noir Coeur" in French. This poignant artwork embodied his pain and longing, and from the remnants of his torn canvases, he fashioned a sweater as a tribute to his lost love, marking a bittersweet farewell to his former self.
